I'm trying to find other online community sites besides myspace does any one know some good ones????

I believe YahooGroups (http://www.yahoogroups.com) is still the best place to find an online community that matches your interests, particularly if you don't just want to chat with strangers but, rather, you want to find offline activities to do, you want to learn about a particular topic or issue, you want to meet people who are sincerely interested in the same things you are.
Also, online communities are often web-based, so use Google to find groups you might be interested in. For instance, you can type in:
women hikers Kentucky
And you might find a group that hosts its own online community on its web site.
If you are just looking to chat with strangers, then you could try Facebook, tribe.net, friendster.com, orkut.com
