http://www.bstar.com , it's not very big but I like the people on there without all the spam. You can also try hi5.com, not my fav but you may feel different.
Reply:facebook was originaly made for uni's. it is only recently they have made it for everyone. to be quite honest if you want a decent community then this is probably the best one for your age.
