Does your myspace, friendster or other online community profile reflect who you really are?

If human resources were to evaluate you based on your resume and whatever info you put out on the internet through these various online network sites, would you still get the job? Is it an accurate account of who you are?

Does your myspace, friendster or other online community profile reflect who you really are?
I work in HR, and, to tell the truth, we would not want to hire you if you had a myspace reflecting someone who drank and partied all the time, did drugs, or talked about how much of a "pimp" you are.

My advice- put your myspace on private.
Reply:If you're honest, yes,

A lot of people, however, use the anonymity of Myspace, etc, to pretend to be somebody else (It's surprising how few profiles there are for fat, balding guys with bad teeth)

The problem lies not with Myspace, but with the users.
Reply:I dont think so, that hings only show the side that you want to show, besides, there are so many people that only want to hook up and lie about it, arent they?...Well thats my point of view....

Have a nice day

Reply:My MySpace reflects who I am as good as I can communicate. Since only my friends view it, I see no reason why I should lie. Besides, what is to be gained by lying to people over the internet?
Reply:yeahh
