It all depends on how you define largest. Largest number of members? Largest numbers of posts (if a message board)? Largest number of chatters at any one time? Longest time in existence (so logically larger numbers of members.)

I'm inclined to think Ouch! is the overall biggest - http://www.bbc.co.uk/ouch/ . It is certainly the best in my estimation. It has a little of everything and certainly pushes you to think.

As for a message board community- perhaps CareCure http://sci.rutgers.edu/

I belong to about 60 listserv, message boards, blogs, etc. Bigger isn't necessarily better. I have a very small message board that has been around since 1992.
Reply:to Rabbit Redoux You aint one bit funny

Reply:Actually there really is a online community called disabilities-r-us. No I am not kidding. Look it up.
Reply:It also depends IF you are talking about General Disabilities messages forums OR Specific Disabilities message forums.

***Examples***

Ouch! has a General Disabilities messages forum.

The Autistic Community have their own messages forums.

The Deaf Community have their own messages forums.

The SCI Community have their own message forurms.

The LP Community have their own message forurms.

I could post more examples of Specific Disabilities message forums but I will not.

Which type of PWD message forums are you asking about (General Disabilities OR Specific Disabilities)?
