What was it and how old were you when you first joined an online community like Yahoo! Answers, MySpace etc?

Do you remember the first online community you joined?
Well, I used to be a member of Oceania, which was a bbs back when you could get 1200/2400 baud modems, everything was text, monochrome. I was a member on many, but that was the one that had the most "community" as I recall (that was about 20+ years ago).





I was also on compuserve, not long after that.





My sister had one of those "new" U.S. Videotel machines a couple of years after that.

Reply:It was 1998 .. I was 23 years old and it was a community from a chat channel that I was joining at that time.
